Do my patients need to download an app?
No. The booking page is a website: you share your public link and the patient books from their phone's browser, without signing up or downloading anything.
Can I charge a deposit when patients book?
Yes, through Mercado Pago: you can require a deposit to confirm the appointment. If the patient doesn't pay within 45 minutes, the slot is released automatically for another patient.
How does it reduce no-shows?
With automatic WhatsApp and email reminders before the appointment, and with the optional deposit: patients who have paid a deposit rarely skip the appointment. The effect of reminders has been measured: a systematic review of 29 studies found that they cut no-shows by up to a third (Hasvold & Wootton, 2011, Journal of Telemedicine and Telecare).
Do WhatsApp reminders cost extra?
Email reminders are always included, free and unlimited. WhatsApp reminders are an optional add-on activated per professional, with two plans: ARS 19,900 (+ VAT) per month for 200 reminders, or ARS 29,900 (+ VAT) for 400 (an individual quota per professional, with no overage charges). The trial is automatic: the first 25 reminders are free without activating anything, one time only; after that you choose a plan to continue. If a professional uses up their quota, only their WhatsApp messages are paused until the following month, and email reminders always keep going out.
Does it work with my schedule and my health records?
Online booking is part of MedicAI: every booking goes straight into your schedule, and when you see the patient their health record is already linked. There is nothing to sync.
What else does MedicAI include besides online booking?
The same system includes electronic health records, Mercado Pago payments, e-invoicing through ARCA (Argentina's tax agency, formerly AFIP), video consultations and electronic prescriptions.
